Meat-Filled Manicotti

1 (8 oz.) pkg. Manicotti Pasta
1 Pound Ground (Italian) Sausage (or lean ground beef)
1 ½ Cups Low Fat Ricotta Cheese (or Cottage Cheese)
2 Cups Shredded Mozzarella

½ Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
2 Egg Whites
½ Tsp. Dried Oregano
1 (32 oz.) Jar Spaghetti Sauce

 
       
 
  1. Bring large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.  Add pasta and cook for 8-10 min. or until al dente.  Drain and cool.  Reserve.
  2. In large skillet brown sausage on medium heat.  Drain and cool.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F.  Lightly grease 9 X 13” baking dish and pour enough spaghetti sauce in dish to cover bottom.
  4. Combine, sausage, ricotta, 1 Cup Mozzarella, Parmesan, egg whites, and oregano.  Mix well.  Stuff shells with mixture.
  5. Place stuffed noodles in the dish.  Cover with spaghetti sauce and top with remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 50 min.
