Lasagne

Uncooked lasagne noodles
½ C. Parmesan cheese
1 pkg. sliced mozzarella cheese
spaghetti sauce
1 egg
24-oz. small curd cottage cheese

 

 
       
 

Mix cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg.  In 9x13 pan, spread sauce, a layer of noodles, a layer of cheese mix, then mozzarella slices.  Repeat once more.  Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350° for 1 hour.  Let sit for 15 minutes before removing foil.

Ann’s tips:

 1.  Make spaghetti sauce with ½ lb. of ground beef or turkey and ½ lb. of Italian sausage, season to taste, and drain.

 2.  Place pan on cookie sheet to bake, to avoid greasy spills in the bottom of the oven from overflow.

 3.  Make two at the same time and freeze one for later – it doesn’t take any longer!
