Accordion Sandwich Loaf
(Jenny)

1 unsliced loaf French bread, about 16” long
¼ C. mayonnaise or salad dressing
2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
2 tsp. prepared mustard

½ tsp. onion powder
Eight ¾-oz. slices American or Swiss cheese
8 slices cooked ham

Make 15 cuts across the bread – stop the cup before you get to bottom crust.  Stir mayonnaise, parsley flakes, mustard, and onion powder in small mixing bowl.  Use table knife to spread mixture between every other opening in the loaf.  Place one cheese slice on top of one ham slice, fold opposite corners together, and insert the triangle into one of the openings that has been spread with the mixture.  Repeat with remaining ham and cheese slices.

Wrap sandwich in foil, put on cookie sheet, and put in 375° preheated oven.  Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.  To serve, remove foil.  Cut through the bottom of the unfilled openings in the bread loaf.  Makes 8 sandwiches.
